The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Lawrence, ranked No. 32 among shooting guards in the Class of 2009 by Rivals, also considered U Conn, Florida, South Florida, Providence and Marquette.

Notes: Lawrence also says he had interest previous to the hiring of Oz Cross; he is rehabbing his injured shoulder and should be up to full speed in October; and he doesn't know what 6'6" forward Kevin Parrom is going to do (though his coach says he likes St. John's, along with South Carolina and Xavier's programs).
