TyShwan Edmondson: Half-Season Report Card

TyShwan Edmondson hasn't played much, so I will hold back my evaluation of him; but to a player, each freshman last year showed they could be decent at something - Evans could rebound a little, Horne had efficient scoring, Coker could block shots and rebound, Boothe could pass a bit.
Edmondson is a combo guard, so it may be that playmaking is not his forte unless he is looking for his shot. But he doesn't shoot much, and when he does, his shot doesn't make the "swish" sound everyone likes to hear. He turns the ball over, has a very low assist rate, though he might have some ability as a defensive/ theft guard.
In his defense, he is VERY skinny and needs to get stronger; he should have redshirted a year. And he has been struggling with his confidence, unable to get the team going when forced to play point guard in Malik Boothe's absence. As far as analysis, though, there's not much positive to see here, and he will need to improve in the offseason.
