First, the Garden looks so good. St. John's well represented in the display that circles the concession concourse noting a Garden event for every day of the year. I don't know if it was opening night jitters or something else, but the Johnnies were flat. D'Angello was absolutely not himself and you could see it was getting to him emotionally. It was almost to where you didn't want to see him shoot because he looked so lost. The second half was a different story. The defense kept us in the game. Our transition game was not good. At one point late in the game we were up five even though Fordham had 20 turn overs and we had 8. With two more non-conference games left, the Johnnies need to learn to come out with the intensity they show in the second half. Big East teams are not going to let them climb back into games. Great night for Obekpa setting the blocking mark at The Worlds Most Famous Arena.
