As the St. John’s men were battling Syracuse at the Garden, yours truly was in South Orange covering the women in their 55-25 romp over Seton Hall. St. John’s coach Kim Barnes Arico was pleased and flattered I chose to make the drive to South orange as opposed to a NJ Transit trip to MSG. At any rate, the numbers from Syracuse’s 95-70 victory:
The Seton Hall media room had both UCONN and the Hall men on as well as Syracuse-St. John’s. So an opportunity to see a good part of that game was possible.
Possessions : 69
Offensive Efficiency: Syracuse 137 St. John’s 101
An extremely impressive offense on Syracuse’s part fueled by a 60.7 eFG percentage and only a 15.9 turnover rate. St. John’s also enjoyed a 15.9 TO rate but managed only 46.5% from the floor (eFG). Orange also enjoyed a 47-33% margin in offensive rebounding percentage.
The (NBA/Manley efficiency) St. John’s players with ten or more minutes:

Syracuse placed five players in double figures. Leading the way were Fab Melo, C. J. Fair and Dion Waiters with 14 points each. Their NBA/Manley numbers:
Waiters 19
Melo 18
Fair 16
Once again, very good numbers and balance.
