D`Angelo Harrison named to the Feb 6 Big East Honor Roll

St. John's D`Angelo Harrison has earned a spot on the Big East's 5 man honor roll - though he did not win Rookie of the Week. His performance against DePaul, where he dropped a career-high 29 points on 7/11 shooting in the 87-81 win, was the highlight. But Harrison also shot 5/9 from outside the arc against (4/6 in the second half) in a 23-point performance as St. John's tried to stay withing striking distance of the Syracuse Orange (St. John's lost, 95-70).

Harrison shot 60% (12/20) from outside the arc in the week, averaging 26 points per game.

Kudos to D`Angelo Harrison, who won a Big East Rookie of the Week award on January 9th. The team faces tough (re-)matchups against Cincinnati and Georgetown in the coming week; he'll need to continue his hot play for the Red Storm to pull off wins.
