A lot changes in 2 years

Over the past two seasons, St. John's fans have had a lot to cheer about, and there is no question we're heading in the right direction under the Lavin (or should I say Dunlap) regime. We've also taken our bumps and bruises no questioning that, but all in all you can't feel to bad about where this team is headed. In two years we went from watching 10 dare I say underachieving Seniors up until that point put a gritty, magnificent season together which did end a tad bit earlier than we wanted, but it was fun, it was exciting. There was a reason to talk about the Johnnies again, but this is where the bumps came up, weather it was Prostate Cancer (God Bless Steve Lavin and his family), or de-commitments, or eligibility issues, or even transfers, St. John's still put together one of the better recruiting classes in the country. We had the pleasure of going from these 10 underrated Seniors to 5 highly touted Freshman who all had to play 30 minutes a game and they got better. If we can somehow get Harkless to stay put for one more year we're going to have 5 highly touted Sophmores coming back who all have more playing time under their belts than a lot of upper class men around the country that would spectacular. When you add Branch and Balamou so far it's starting to look not so bad, now if we can add some inside presence to this class, doesn't even have to be a top recruit, maybe just big kids with some upside, well next season just may be funner than the last two have been.
