Bigger than a Regional, it's a Super Regional - and it's the series standing between the St. John's Red Storm baseball team and the eight-team College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The Johnnies travel to Arizona this weekend to try and win two of three on the road.
The Wildcats are coming off a 3-0 weekend where they scored 15, 16, and 16 runs against Missouri and Louisville to win their regional, slowing down to 15 hits in the finale. Clearly, the Wildcats will be a large challenge at home in Tuscon.
But St. John's defeated the favored UNC Tar Heels in 3 games themselves, and are blessed with talent and toughness.
