Back on campus in Queens, the Red Storm hope to move into sole possession of third place in the Big East as the calendar turns to February. The road gets rougher from here on out, but 6 Big East wins would match last year's conference win total - and 14 wins would beat last year's record in the win column.
St. John's needs to continue to beat the teams it can beat. A close game will bring the Johnnies' free throw struggles to bear again, and St. John's needs to be careful with the ball; the Blue Demons clawed back within three points in Chicago, and could do it again against the reigning Big East Rookie of the Week JaKarr Sampson and the chaos zone of Sir`Dominic Pointer.
