The View From Section 110 - Fordham

Did I say it? Did I say it? You know I said it. FINALLY, the Johnnies used their athleticism and drove to the hoop. And what results. Section 110 was in full force this afternoon as were the Johnnies. It was a dominating performance against a very over matched Fordham team. I am not sure where Fordham is in their development under Pecora, but they didn't look good today. St. John's had a very balanced game and finally played a full forty minutes. Orlando Sanchez put up the type of numbers that were talked about pre-season. He still does not look good on the fast break, but he played a great game. Sir Dom is just so much fun to watch. He is a worker out there and is such a catalyst for the rest of the group. Now Fordham is not Syracuse, but if the Johnnies play this way next week, it might be a tough day for the Orange. On a separate note, the Garden looks fantastic. They replaced the "Carnesecca Banner" with a new one that sits right next to the Knicks Atlantic Division Championship banner from last season.
