The View From Section 110 - Marquette

So I get to section 110 and guess who shows up at the Garden? Any guesses out there? Yep, you got it. THE St. John's Red Storm. Now I know, they played Fordham, and Syracuse, and Villanova at the Garden already. But that was not the St. John's we expected nor were waiting for (maybe the Fordham game). Today we saw athleticism on display. The athleticism that was supposed to drive this team to the top of the Big East and beyond. D'Angello was there - and when he touched the ball Marquette could only watch the ball float through the net. Sir Dom was there. He was quiet for a while, but made sure the team from Milwaukee knew why his first name is "Sir". Obekpa was there too, sending a few shots back to the mid-west. Yes, this was the St. John's we waited for and expected. It was a good St. John's crowd on a big New York City sports weekend. The question of course is whether or not St. John's will return. Will they make the trip to Providence this week? Will they be ready for Creighton next weekend? I'm not sure. But if they do, there may be some Johnny magic left for this season. Lavin said the team would peak in February. If they are, let's hope its not too late. Go Johnnies!
