Podcast: those old offseason struggles

John Alber

Dave from On the Banks and Norman from Rumble in the Garden are back for a mid-offseason report. St. John’s and Rutgers are in similar but also different places this June and the boys are here to sum things up.

• Quick rundowns of St. John’s and Rutgers offseasons so far.
• Rutgers tries to find an assistant coach and a point guard. So far neither pursuit has been fruitful.
• St. John’s recruiting strategy is all geared toward 2015, Isaiah Briscoe and Chieck Diallo. But they’ve brought a pair of players in so far this year.
• The Red Storm also guard Dominic Artis on campus, who was kicker out of Oregon after a rape accusation. Is the reward worth the risk?
• What does Rutgers roster even look like?

The regular season may still be 5 months away, but there’s still plenty to talk about. Take a listen.
