Reebok is getting back into the high school basketball camp game, looking at the lesser-known players... Along with traditional five-on-five games, players will be evaluated in skill training and fitness testing. Orlando's Jameer Nelson and Dallas' Jason Terry will assist with the coaching duties, and the top performers will be selected to participate in a private training summit later in the summer. "It's not fair to solely judge kids in game settings," Lee said. "To the trained eye, this will give coaches other ways to view a player." This bodes well for city products who will spend next year at prep school, such as guard Kareem Canty (formerly of Bishop Loughlin) and forward Kamari Murphy (formerly of Lincoln). Also invited to participate are rising seniors Daniel Dingle of St. Raymond, Jermaine Lawrence of Cardozo and Isaiah Lewis of Christ the King. St. John's-bound point guard Jevon Thomas of Rosedale, Queens, who attends Our Savior New American on Long Island, will be there as well. Dingle was passed over for the Nike camp but said he'll "take full advantage of this opportunity and show coaches what I can do and give it my all." Daniel Dingle, Kareem Canty, Kamari Murphy head to Philly U. Reebok camp, where John Wall will coach

Jevon Thomas (Queens, N.Y./ Our Savior New American) 2012, PG, 5-11, 170 pounds College: St. John's He possesses never-ending speed, blow-by quickness, a tight handle and the vision to see the play. Thomas is hard to stay in front of because he uses all his physical tools and skill to distribute the ball or score. A must-have shot for all little guards is a floater, which he has displayed. He keeps attacking defenses and puts them on notice quickly. His jumper is solid but needs work, and more importantly, he needs to listen and learn to continue his overall development. ESPN's Paul Biancardi reviews which players played well at the Chris Paul Elite Point Guard Camp, including 2012 commit Jevon Thomas.
