Carmody is said to be about two weeks away from hiring an assistant to replace Mitch Henderson, who got the top job at Princeton. Former Rutgers coach Fred Hill Jr. has interviewed, sources told the Tribune. His uncle Brian Hill coached the NBA's Magic and Grizzlies.

Fred Hill interviews for assistant job at Northwestern.
This would probably be a good development from a Rutgers perspective. Hill has a right to earn a living, but you want him somewhere we can't do damage to Rutgers by conceivably recruiting away NJ-area prospects. Hill at a top major conference program would be scary. A weak one like Northwestern, a mid-major, or working as a NBA scout are probably the best scenarios for Rutgers.
