Game #3: Final Score St. John's 92, FDU 67

A little tight until the beginning of the second half, but a 15-4 run will wipe some grime off the game.

Larry Wright hit 6 three-pointers, Burrell blocked a few shots and brought down 13 rebounds, I think. And Paris Horne used his defense to harass the FDU guards.

DJ Kennedy and the rest played major minutes and was very good, even shot well. Larry Wright also played solid defense. And Lawrence shot well, dribbled well, passed well-- I think 9 assists along with 20 points. The bigs didn't play much because FDU played small and they had foul trouble... from Red Storm Sports:

After trading baskets in the first few minutes of the second half, St. John's used a 17-4 run to take control of the contest and led, 62-53, with 12:47 to play in the half. Burrell powered the Red Storm with six points and five boards during the run, and also took a charge on a FDU fast break, while Wright drilled a 3-pointer and Lawrence fed Horne with one astounding behind-the-back assist for a transition dunk, and then fired a pass to a streaking Horne for a back-door score. Another Knights flurry brought them to within five, 63-58 at the 11:09 mark, but the Red Storm cruised down the stretch, thanks to the Lawrence, Wright and Burrell-led offense.

At the end, a nice game for the Red Storm.
