St. John's basketball: Qa'rraan Calhoun to Houston Cougars in 08-09

Former St. John's player and recruit Qa'rraan Calhoun-- who would have been a very valuable player on the Red Storm current team-- reportedly signs with the University of Houston Cougars in the middle of his year at Barton Community College in Kansas (link not NSFW-- message board with bikini photos).

The 6'8", 220 lb forward from Raritan High in Hazlet, NJ, averaged 5.9 points per game and 4.0 rebounds in an average of 22 minutes. At Barton Community College, he is averaging 18.8 ppg (53.6% overall, 34.2% on 3pt attempts, 71.8% on 2pt attempts) and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Calhoun was a promising forward in the Red Storm rotation and would have been a great help; he reportedly moved on to find better opportunities for making money professionally. Good luck to him.
