Felix Balamou, 6'4" guard from Guinea, is likely to play today. Meaning he won't redshirt. More on this in a few.

No word on Orlando Sanchez or Marc-Antoine Bourgault, so don't expect them to play today.

Leadership is often a buzzword to cover soft speculation. But for a team with so little experience, D`Angelo Harrison's ability to calm the team and take big shots WILL have an effect on today's outcome. The Johnnies are talented and athletic, but the Detroit Titans are talented, athletic and scrappy.

St. John's players have a higher ceiling, but for so many, this will be their first game. Watch for confusion, breakdowns, and how well St. John's and Steve Lavin adapt to the Titan style, and how they stop Ray McCallum and shooters like Nick Minnerath and Jason Calliste. Will they give Detroit second chances? Will Doug Anderson get one of his patented put back dunks?

Will D`Angelo Harrison shake off the rust and score? Will JaKarr Sampson and Christian Jones maintain their poise? Will Phil Greene remind everyone that we should be talking about his game instead of the freshmen?

It should be a good one.
