After a victory over the College of Charleston, the second round of the Charleston Classic will be a tougher test. The Murray State Racers are always out for national respect, and have the talent to take that respect.

"[Murray State] have just been dominant, they play extremely quick, they space the floor well and they create a lot of problems," Steve Lavin said yesterday (from the Murray Ledger). "We know we will have our hands full tomorrow night."

The Racers come in with quickness and the intensity every coach wants to see. How will St. John's handle the in-your-face defense and aggressive offense? Isaiah Canaan is the star who can get his shot off at any time. St. John's will seek to keep him off-balance; but in Stacey Wilson and Ed Daniel, the Racers have a pair of players who can hurt opponents on the outside (Wilson) and the inside (Daniel).

As Quinn tweeted, the game is between the last two Great Alaska Shootout champions.

Big News: The Frenchman cometh. Marc-Antoine Bourgault is eligible and should arrive in Charleston around 4:00 PM. He may even play some minutes for St. John's tonight, showing off his ability to shoot from beyond the arc. For a St. John's team that has struggled with quick shots and poor accuracy, a marksman will be welcomed.
