| Tuesday, November 19th, 2013 When: 8:30 PM Eastern St. John's (1-1) vs Bucknell Bison(2-1) Pomeroy Rank: St. John's: 49 | Bucknell: 75 Carnesecca Arena (Capacity: 5,602) Where: Queens, NY TV: Fox Sports 1 | Fox Sports Go Radio: Bloomberg 1130 Line: 7.5, St. John's |
Some tendencies to watch for:
Earlier, we pointed out that much of the notable pregame chatter was about the slow start for top-25 freshman Rysheed Jordan, who has been feeling his way in NCAA ball on a roster of veterans. It's early, and the players have Jordan's back.
Outside of Rysheed Jordan, the rest of the team has played two good halves of basketball - hanging with Wisconsin in the second half in South Dakota, and rolling on Wagner in the first half at Carnesecca (despite letting the Seahawks back into the game).
With Steve Lavin remarking that the Bison are Sweet Sixteen caliber, will the Johnnies have their full attention on the shooting prowess of the Bison stars?
Of note: so far, the best defensive rebounders for Bucknell have been 6'3" Steven Kaspar, 6'6" Ben Brackney, and 6'7" Dom Hoffman.
Maybe the boards are a place where the Johnnies can start putting the Bison away tonight.
