Vegas drops odds for Big East teams, including St. John's

Yeah, yeah, there's a long season to play. We know.

Every year, we watch the betting lines as a proxy for quality; we know Vegas employs smart people to keep betting lines at a level where the sports books can keep raking in money.

Apparently, Vegas isn't liking what they're seeing from St. John's or the rest of the Big East in preseason.

In case you wanted to know what Vegas is thinking about the Big East's teams chances of winning the national championship, here is a table for you from Bovada.

Some changes from April's opening odds: Villanova is still the league's best chance to win the NCAA title (12th best odds in the NCAA) and St. John's drops from fifth-best to sixth best.

Still surprised about Seton Hall, and Marquette as well.

Maybe this Big East season will have more surprises than we think.
