It's been a week since St. John's valiantly fought for much of a game only to lose in the second half as the defense - and team energy - falters. What will tonight bring? 1-3 in conference play is a lot more hopeful sounding than 0-4, and the Red Storm know it.

"We need to use less hands and let some things go," says Sir`Dominic Pointer. "The Big East is a little tougher [than non-conference play] but we need to play through it. Not too many teams win with six players, so we need to find some people to come off the bench to give us some minutes."

Of note: St. John's faces Providence for the 104th time, St.John's second-most frequently played opponent.
