St. John's won a game against Providence that keeps a glimmer of hope alive in the Big East. But St. John's is still eighth in the standings, two games under .500 in the conference, and need a streak of wins.
Is Butler about to see a Red Storm buzzsaw? Or will the toughness of Butler win out, as it did last time against St. John's, when Rysheed Jordan took his one-game leave of absence?
That game - the first for Butler with Chris Holtmann officially named head coach after Brandon Miller left the head coaching spot - revealed that the Johnnies poor defense against the three-pointer was no fluke, and started a string of lackluster defensive second halves that caused us and other pundits to question the team's depth.
Of note: D`Angelo Harrison is three points away from being the third St. John's player to score 2,000 points.
