NCAA Profile: Hawaii Rainbow Warriors

The number 13-seed in the south region brings a solid combination of height and aggression on offense.

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Team: Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors

Conference: Big West Conference

Coach: Eran Ganot

Record: 27-5, 13-3 in conference

KenPom Rank: 61

Good wins: Home over Northern Iowa

Bad Loss: Home to UC Riverside.

Impact Players: Center Stefan Jankovic scored 16 points per game and grabbed seven rebounds. He's very efficient inside the arc and hit 39% of his three-point tries. He is not to be confused with his backup, Stefan Jovanovic. They're both 6'11". Two wings - Roderick Bobbitt and Aaron Valdes - add socing and slashing punch.

How did they get in?: Won the Big West Tournament.

How far can this team go in the NCAA Tournament?: In a year when top seeds fell in so many conferences, Hawai'i and first-year coach Eran Ganot kept the heat on and won their conference tournament over talented and experienced Long Beach State. The team has been consistent, playing fast, drawing fouls and scoring inside the arc, but they haven't faced high caliber teams - their strength of schedule is one of the worst in the field. I think this team might be a first-round knockout, but a team that has been successful consistently often knows what its doing...

Last time in the NCAA Tournament: 2002 under Riley Wallace.
