Last season, St. John's lost by 20 on the road to Butler and by 33 at home to the Bulldogs. It wasn't that Butler's offense was incredible, but defensively, they stomped on what St. John's wanted to do. The Butler defense led to two of the six worst offensive performances St. John's had last year; St. John's scored 78 points per 100 possessions at Butler and 71/ 100 possessions at home.

If St. John's players remember those drubbings, the squad will want to come out with some fire. It is important to note, however, that the only current players who played in the most recent matchup are Kassoum Yakwe, Malik Ellison and Amar Alibegovic, who is day-to-day with an injury (well, Elijah Holifield, too, who played five minutes in the blowout).

A brand new team takes on Kamar Baldwin's guard skills, Kelan Martin/ Andrew Chrabascz's inside outside play and the size of Tyler Wideman.
