St. John's recruiting: What did Rawle Alkins do this weekend?

Former Christ The King star and ESPN's 17th ranked recruit in the class of 2016 Rawle Alkins returned home from North Carolina this weekend to take his first official visit to St. John's.

And it looked like the small forward had a blast, as he took a tour of the campus in Queens on Saturday and attended three games on Sunday. With the student section chanting 'We want Alkins' at different points during the Johnnies loss to Villanova at the Garden, the Word of God Academy forward sat in the front row with his mom and 2017 recruit Jordan Tucker.

Following the St. John's game, he attended the New York Knicks versus Golden State Warriors (in a suite) with Chris Mullin and was hanging out with the stars of the show before and after the Knicks were dominated by the NBA's best. As a member of the Under Armour Circuit, Alkins has likely crossed paths before with the league MVP Stephen Curry.

Spend time with two Hall of Famers in Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond? Hang with two great recruiters in Matt Abdelmassih and Barry 'Slice' Rohrssen? Watch three basketball games including his old school Christ The King? Meet Steve Kerr and Klay Thompson? And take a picture with the king of Under Armour, Steph Curry? Sounds like a dream weekend to me.

With four official visits remaining, Alkins will be on the road often in the coming months, but there is no question St. John's has likely left a lasting impression.
