St. John's vs. DePaul
When: Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 8 p.m. ET
Where: Carnesecca Arena, Jamaica, NY
How to Watch: CBS Sports Network
How to Listen: 670 AM
In their final game of the season at Carnesecca Arena, the Johnnies will have their best opportunity to snap their long losing streak and earn their first Big East Conference victory. St. John's hasn't tasted a victory since mid-December when they shocked Syracuse at The Garden but with Malik Ellison, Amar Alibegovic and Kassoum Yakwe playing their best basketball of the season, the Johnnies could be due for a special performance.
One match-up to watch tonight is how Federico Mussini plays against Billy Garrett Jr. Mussini has struggled off the bench in his last few outings as he has failed to find his shooting touch and his lack of confidence and strength has been evident. While Ellison is likely to start at lead guard, Mussini's ability to get hot from the perimeter could be a huge factor on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Blue Demons are led by forward Myke Henry, who averages 14.7 points per game, and Garrett Jr., who averages 13.0 points per game and 3.6 assists.
Dave Leitao's team is no slouch. They have they defeated Marquette in Milwaukee and knocked off Providence at home last week.
Will Sima step forward and produce in the paint?
The Johnnies are likely to play with extra passion tonight. Will they control their emotions early and get out to a fast start?
Will Durand Johnson and Ron Mvouika have big nights in their last game at Carnesecca?
