is tonight the night that St. John's takes out the Georgetown Hoyas in Washington? The Johnnies have not won on the Hoyas' home court since 2003, with Marcus Hatten leading the Red Storm from a 16-point second half deficit on their way to a five-point victory. The Hoyas were realizing that coach Craig Esherick's leadership wasn't getting the job done, and Hatten showed out before his hometown fans (well, he's from Baltimore, but close enough).
That win was one that helped the Johnnies get to the NIT - which they won, in Mike Jarvis' last full season on the sidelines at St. John's.
That was then, and since, the Red Storm have fallen to their rivals in DC every single time the team trips to the nation's capital.
So tonight, maybe Shamorie Ponds and Marcus LoVett - two guards about the size and explosiveness of Marcus Hatten - can lead the Johnnies in a furious rally to beat the wounded Hoyas?
