Game thread: St. John’s vs Nebraska Cornhuskers (Gavitt Games)

St. John’s, it’s time for a step up in class.

Chris Mullin’s Red Storm faces a Nebraska team blessed with height as part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games series between the Big Ten and the Big East.

Both of these teams will be in the Advocare Invitational; this game counts as one of the unbracketed games in that tournament. Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean anything for next week’s schedule in Orlando.

Both teams will be playing in STYLE.

Creamy white alternates for the Red Storm.

All Black Everything for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

How will the Johnnies deal with the Huskers’ size?

Will St. John’s be able to run on the visiting Big Ten team? That second aspect will tell us how well the Red Storm can impose their style and will on other teams.
