Oh, yes, tonight, St. John’s plays against a team outside of Division I as they warm up for the Thanksgiving weekend tournament in Orlando, Florida.
But that doesn’t mean the Johnnies should overlook Molloy, even if a win or loss does not count toward the RPI or strength of schedule (being outside of Division I). The Molloy Lions will certainly come in with an urge to pull of a win, and the human poll voters and NCAA Selection Committee will remember a loss to a D-II squad.
But right now, the Johnnies seem to be on a roll, sharing the ball and defending well. So officially, we here at the Rumble are not worried.
This game is a chance to:
- Get Shamorie Ponds outside shooting on track
- Get Kassoum Yakwe and Amar Alibegovic into the scoring column
- Tighten up the inside scoring game
It’s an early start, so be prepared!
