The long wait for college hoops will finally be over in less than 48 hours!!
Eight of the ten Big East men’s basketball teams will start their 2017-18 season Friday night, November 10th in front of their home crowds. Only 3 teams in the conference will play two games this weekend at home (Seton Hall, Butler, Creighton).
Of interest for those looking for competitive games (or upsets of Big East teams) would be the talented guards of Yale at Creighton and Princeton at Butler. Monmouth at Seton Hall and DePaul hosting Notre Dame could be interesting since both underdogs (Monmouth, DePaul) will put out their best effort.
The DePaul game will be the official first game at the new downtown-adjacent WinTrust arena, and should have a packed house, since Notre Dame has a huge fanbase in nearby Chicago.
