Game thread: St. John’s visiting Seton Hall

Will tonight be a struggle?

NCAA Basketball: Providence at St. John Andy Marlin-USA TODAY Sports

In one game, it seems that the anxieties of the fan base have bubbled over, at least on the social media platforms.

But it’s been one game, and a game where Justin Simon admitted that the team settled for shots in the first half. Meanwhile, the defense was decent for stretches in the first half, but did not find the shooter who kept the Providence Friars in the game. And the team did not put pressure on the ball handlers effectively.

Win or lose, we can see if the team plays a headier game and attacks the ball on defense.

But a win would obviously be better.

Marcus LoVett and Shamorie Ponds are both out tonight.

See the game preview.
