In recruiting, top 15 forward Naz Reid, a New Jersey big man who dropped the Red Storm from consideration, looks like a near-lock to go to Louisiana State.
Well, as long as he doesn’t go to Seton Hall or Rutgers, amirite?
On to the next player.
Luther Muhammad, on of St. John’s top targets in the Class of 2018, went to visit Ohio State last weekend. St. John’s checked in with him fairly promptly afterwards on Monday.

He gave this quote for St. John’s fans to chew on to Zagsblog in July, that was added to this recent piece recapping Muhammad’s visit to Ohio State:
Muhammad is aware that head coach Mullin and assistant Mitch Richmond both played in the NBA.
“That’s great, but at the end of the day you have to know how to coach and you gotta know how to make people better,” he said.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Muhammad has a visit to Xavier coming this weekend.
The Johnnies also saw 2019 guard Khalil Whitney, who is #79 in Rivals and #38 in ESPN’s rankings

Meanwhile: Zach Smart, who has had good recruiting info in the past, says 2019 forward Karim Coulibaly (also known as Abdoul Karim Coulibaly) is high on St. John’s:
6-8, 220 Class of '19 Karim Coulibaly says he's high on SJU, citing close ties to coaching staff and players. @SCShoops 4 can guard 2-4

He’s a forward from outside the DC area and originally from Mali; he’s a 6’8” forward with good size, listed at 220 pounds and is #92 in the 247 Sports composite. He visited St. John’s in June.
And Chris Mullin checked in on star duo Scottie Lewis and Bryan Antoine, two Class of 2019 perimeter players.
