St. John’s only exhibition contest this season will be played against American International College. Taking place on November 1st, this contest will be held at Carnesecca Arena and aired live on ESPN3. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST.

The preseason matchup was originally scheduled for Halloween night but has since been moved back.

The Yellow Jackets reside in the Northeast-10 Conference. Fellow conference mates include Assumption, Le Moyne, Pace, among others. The conference participates in Division II men’s basketball.

Last season AIC went 11-17, including a 5-10 mark in the NE-10. They return their leading scorer in Jayvon Pitts-Young, who averaged about 14 points and 4 rebounds per game.

The Yellow Jackets last played against a Division I opponent back in the 2014-15 season. American International would drop an exhibition bout with Boston College, 92-53.

Just one year ago, the Johnnies in their lone exhibition game defeated the Baruch Bearcats 99-49. Two seasons ago, St. John’s dropped a preseason contest against St. Thomas Aquinas by a 90-58 score.
