What will be different about the Johnnies as they try to find themselves on the court and earn a Big East win against Xavier in Cincinnati?
The team looks like it should be better than 0-6, but a team is what its record is, for the most part. It takes a mix of glaring flaws and little mistakes to earn that record, even though the Big East is quite a balanced league. The difference between the #3 team and the #8 team might be a pair of games and tiebreakers at the end of the season.
But St. John’s needs to start earning wins and building confidence, and improving on their outside shooting, first, to match their their defense, which continues to create chaos.
Against Xavier, though, the best of efforts may be met with an L.
