Game thread: St. John’s vs VCU

The Red Storm hope to get Mustapha Heron and Marvin Clark II rolling tonight against the VCU Rams, on the way to a championship. But VCU plans on bringing their pressure [aka the Return of Havoc] and discombobulate the Johnnies.

This game, at the very least, will have some thrilling dunks. Can the Red Storm maintain their composure?

What we think

Look, this could either be a fully sloppy slug fest with two teams making each other uncomfortable until a star player goes on a 7-0 run capped off with a dunk, or this could be a slightly choppy game where the shots are just raining down from the sky.

This will be a test of how well St. John’s can maintain their composure, play their game, and adapt to surroundings; they have been solid, but the cracks are there — rebounding, dependence on three-point shooting.
