Let’s get it on! St. John’s vs Seton Hall in New Jersey.
And St. John’s hasn’t won there much in the past 20 years. But St. John’s has also been mostly bad over the last 20 years. Lots of thoughts on this game, and let’s bring our civil a-game for this one. It’s gonna be a challenge for both teams. Which one will be more resilient?
Seton Hall’s squad is pretty new, and despite tough wins, the Red Storm’s five-out offense could be a real challenge for the Pirates.
But St. John’s squad may not have been tested like this, and the size and cohesion of the Pirates could be a real challenge for St. John’s, who have allowed lesser teams to stay close with outside shooting all non-conference season.
Also for fun: former Seton Hall commit Valdir Manuel has committed to St. John’s from Harcum JUCO college (near Villanova). He had also committed to Saint Joseph’s. He is supposed to be a full qualifier with three years left to play. More on him here, but at 6’10” and “skilled” could be a solid pickup alongside transfer big Ian Steere and JUCO PG Cam Mack.
