What’s the feeling among you all?
Is this game a chance to right the ship one last time? Or is this just a home finale, a nice game to watch and the near-end of the season?
We are expecting a solid performance from the Johnnies, and maybe an appearance from a seventh or eighth member of the rotation — specifically, senior Amar Alibegovic and junior Kassoum Yakwe, who have been limited in minutes all conference season, but particularly in the month of February.
In this month, they have combined for 12 minutes. In total.
Cutting the rotation to a tight six helped bring on the win streak — a call back to the 2015 year where Steve Lavin’s senior class played a seven-man rotation — and the performances have been decent, if not enough to win.
But we would like the fans to see Alibegovic one more time in a season that looks unlikely to flow into postseason play.
Bashir Ahmed will also have a chance to shine; his game has been polarizing among fans, but he has been a versatile wing who has played more under control this season.
