St. John’s gets back to Big East play with what amounts to a buckert of cold water — facing the buzzsaw that is the Villanova Wildcats in Philadelphia, on a night where the Wells Fargo Center is selling tickets for $5.20 (to honor the Super Bowl 52 win).
BUT! Villanova will be reportedly without big forward Eric Paschall this evening, who is recovering from a concussion.
On the other hand, Paschall only scored in double figures against the Johnnies in the Big East Tournament blowout last March. Other than that, he has not been a huge contributor to the last four Villanova wins. If you are wondering, Paschall did score 14 points against the Red Storm as a freshman, while playing for Fordham.
Tonight, St. John’s faces a thin but talented Wildcat squad. Can they win two in a row against top-4 teams?
