Once again, the Big East has scheduled the St. John’s/ Georgetown nostalgia-fest earlier in the conference season so we can move our mind to other things.
With that said, this is an important game. Withe three road contests in a row coming up at Creighton, Duke and Marquette where Chris Mullin’s side likely won’t be favored, the need for a win is significant.
The previous game saw a Hoya team missing two significant pieces. Today, the high-flying Mac McClung and big man Trey Mourning will be back on the court for the rivals from the nation’s capital.
Will the Johnnies contain Patrick Ewing’s deeper squad?
