Open thread, Elite Eight: waiting game

Come talk about tonight’s games.

Frankly, the Elite Eight is depressing.

It’s a sign that the offseason is really coming, that basketball will be on the shelf for months on end, and all we will have is the talk of hope or the dread of a season that is thought to be lackluster.

Well, let’s just enjoy what we have, basketball is not promised tomorrow. Did this whole post just get really dark??

We wait to hear the official news on Nebraska hiring Fred Hoiberg. Other than that, the hoops news is fairly quiet.

Some good games tonight on TBS, as Tariq Owens and the Red Raiders try to break the chalk party and reach a Final Four for the first time ever. The Red Raiders are playing in their second consecutive Elite Eight/ Regional Final. Gonzaga is trying to reach their second Final Four — and hoist their first championship.
