After some speculation, Isaih Moore announced on Twitter his intention to transfer from St. John’s.

The 6-foot-10 forward spent one season with the Red Storm. He appeared in 25 games and started 7 of them this past season. Moore missed two games for disciplinary reasons. He averaged 9.2 points, 4.8 rebounds while shooting around 58% from the field. He put together his finest game on December 13th, in a contest at Georgetown. In that one, he recorded 26 points, 14 rebounds, going 10-18 from the field.

St. John’s is already adding several new pieces to their frontcourt next season. Rafael Pinzon, a Puerto Rican wing will join from Long Island Lutheran. Junior college forward Esahia Nyiwe will join the Red Storm next season after enrolling at the university this semester. Additionally, the Johnnies will be adding two 3-star big men to their frontcourt with O’mar Stanley and Drissa Traore; Traore is Pinzon's high school teammate. Zach Braziller of the NY Post reports that St. John’s will look for another big man in the transfer portal this offseason.

It is unclear at this time who St. John’s plans on targeting. It is also unclear which potential suitors will be out there for Moore. Unless another player leaves the program, St. John’s roster is pretty much set for next season. Senior Rasheem Dunn and grad transfer Arnaldo Toro have finished their college careers and likely will not be back in Queens next season, though seniors can get another year of eligibility per the NCAA for the COVID year.
