ESPN to broadcast live edition of ‘SportsCenter on the Road’ at St. John’s practice on Thursday

The national media frenzy following Rick Pitino and his team has only intensified in the weeks before his first season in Queens.

Pitino and the St. John’s men’s basketball team will be featured in a ‘SportsCenter on the Road’ special beginning at 6 p.m on ESPN this Thursday, the school announced in a press release on Wednesday afternoon. The final half-hour of the special will broadcast on ESPN2 starting at 7 p.m.

ESPN’s Seth Greenberg and Kevin Negandhi will host the live special and provide look-ins at St. John’s practice inside Carnesecca Arena, as well as conduct interviews with Pitino, legendary head coach Lou Carnesecca, and a member of the St. John’s basketball team.
