2013 NBA Summer League Rosters: the Big East players, UPDATED

Most of the Las Vegas rosters have been announced, so we update the list.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

For players on the outside of the NBA, the NBA Summer Leagues are where talent and hunger bloom into hope.

The Orlando Summer League is in full swing, thrilling die-hards in Orlando and watching NBA TV to players trying hard to make an impression on representatives from the most elite league in basketball. The Las Vegas Summer League starts this weekend, as well, and while not all rosters are out, we have some updates from the listing of players earlier this week - including a few players who are playing in BOTH Orlando and Las Vegas.

Twenty-three players from the current Big East and 31 players formerly in the Big East will be suiting up in those practice jerseys in Florida and Nevada. Syracuse has 10 players on NBA Summer League; Marquette has seven, and Georgetown, Louisville, and Notre Dame have six.

With the addition of Justin Brownlee (thanks for the heads-up, ColinlovestheKnicks!), the Red Storm have three former players vying for spots via summer league rosters.

The list of Big East players doing the NBA Summer League double-dip includes the Hoyas' Chris Wright, who was sidelined with multiple sclerosis in 2012, but continues to play despite the dangers of playing with the debilitating auto-immune disease. He hasn't had another flare-up, but that's impressive. Get yours, Chris Wright, get yours.
