Isaiah Briscoe, another top target, would have played in the game as well, but is taking a break/ recovering from an injury suffered at the end of the July period.
Diallo, a 6'9" forward originally from Mali but now playing at Our Savior New American in Centereach, NY, has great athleticism and quickness. The big man has offers from Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Kansas and Iowa State. Though ranked in the top ten in most services, Cheick Diallo is not an offensive force; but like Chris Obekpa, he can change a game on the defensive end.
Diallo has an official visit to St. John's scheduled on October 18th, around the date of St. John's Red Storm Tip-Off event.
According to CBS Sports, Kansas and Iowa State are in the lead for Diallo. He will likely not commit to a school in the fall early signing period.
