St. John's is looking seriously at a junior college forward for the 2016-17 class named Nuni Omot, out of Mahtomedi, Minnesota - but who will be playing for JUCO power Indian Hills Community College in Iowa. He played a year for Division II Concordia-St. Paul University.
St. John's assistant Matt Abdelmassih was at Indian Hills CC for JUCO wing Nuni Omot over weekend. Official visit in works. #sjubb

Omot is a 6'6" wing who had JUCO and Division II offer coming out of high school. These days he has interest and offers from the likes of Colorado State, and is listed as 6'8", 193 pounds for a wing.
Omot averaged 24 minutes per game, scoring 12 points and grabbing 5 rebounds per contest; he shot 41.7% from beyond the three-point line and 57.5% overall.
With wings Durand Johnson, Felix Balamou and Ron Mvouika leaving the program after the season, the Red Storm need players who can complement the remaining squad; the Johnnies will have guards Malik Ellison, Federico Mussini and Marcus LoVett in the fold, and big men Yankuba Sima, Kassoum Yakwe, Amar Alibegovic and Tariq Owens returning.
