Tonight, St. John's has an opportunity to make a statement about the resurgence of the program with a win over the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Can this be the signature win of a resurgent year?
Can it be part of an NCAA Tournament resume?
The season, still, is long. And by simply playing in the final, the Red Storm increase their predicted strength of schedule and add another ranked team to their list of opponents.
If you cannot make the game and want to spend your post-Thanksgiving Day watching the Red Storm, we will have coverage during the game (in our game thread) and after the game, as St. John's looks for their first in-season tournament championship since the Great Alaska Shootout.
"[The Minnesota win was] a big win for us, but we're not done yet," said D`Angelo Harrison after Wednesday's victory.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs are a well-balanced scoring team. They average 93 points per game and are 5-0 on the season, turning the ball over on 15% of possessions. (Read more in the scouting report, coming later.)
Odds
Gonzaga is favored by 6.5 points.
